The term aromatherapy was first used by the French chemist Gatterfose in 1920 and it referred to treatment with the use of ethereal olive grove. However, most cultures have been familiar with the use of aromatic plants and ethereal olive grove for thousands of years. Each ethereal oil is constituted of many chemical compounds and thanks to modern science we now know the profits of each one. With aromatherapy, these compounds are used to improve our physical and mental well-being. The ethereal oils that are used in  aromatherapy can help to reduce stress and tension, increase the physical endurance and intellectual lucidity, balance our feelings and help fight conditions such as the acne, eczemas, dermatitis and broken veins.
